Bites, Bikes & Bison

Bites, Bikes and Bison is the annual fundraiser for the Friends of the Pioneers Park Nature Center. This fun, family-friendly annual bike ride begins in scenic Pioneers Park and takes riders into downtown Lincoln, where food and drink specials await at several popular destinations.

2024 Ride Details

Date: Sunday, Sept. 8.

Guided Nature Hike Beginning at 10 a.m.

Registration will be open 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Announcements and official start of ride: 11 a.m.

Route officially closes at 3 p.m. (individual sponsor hours determined by venue)

 

Ticket Options:

$35 per rider, (youth 14 and under ride free)

$50 per rider – includes a 1-year membership in the Friends Group! ($25 value)

Route:

The ride begins in Pioneers Park. Riders can do an optional 4-mile loop in Pioneers Park before they take a 100% paved route into downtown Lincoln. After leaving the park riders will have the opportunity to visit stops in any order that they wish. Riders typically follow the 8th Street bike route north to N Street downtown. Mileage can range from an 8-mile out and back to White Elm, or an 18-Mile out and back to The Mill.
